About

We are Manchester Community Pipe Band.   The band was formed in 2013 to provide a service to the local community.  We don’t only teach you to play an instrument, we also help build confidence, discipline and how to read and understand music notation.  Learning an instrument can be expensive and often many people feel that it is out of their financial ability.  This is something we are designed to address.  Learning an instrument should be something everyone has the opportunity to do.

Our aim is to provide a place where people of all ages can come and relax and enjoy learning new skills.  We are a not for profit organisation and do not charge a membership or tuition fee.  We aim to make learning an instrument accessible to the whole community.

The band has a happy and relaxed atmosphere and many friendships are made.  The band is a mixed age range from 6 – 76 and everyone learns from each other and has fun.  We also have a few family groups that are members, it is something the family can do together for free, all you need to do is get to one of our practice sessions.
